Since i am all into treasuring and nurishing my skin i discovered natural organic oils and the benefits of incooperating them into my daily beauty routine. I used to use olive oil a lot to remove eye makeup as well as in my hair but for about a year now i tried several oils like jojoba, avocado and almond especially for moisturizing my body and adding a couple of drops to my bath and my hair conditioner!
My latest discovery is rosehip oil! I have read a lot of health articles about it and its rejuvinating effect, so i tried it out and i can´t tell you how happy i am about my choice to give it a shot! I have tried out rosehip oil from KORA Organics and Primavera, they both do a fantastic job. When it comes to prices the KORA one is around 30 € Promavera about half the money.
" Rosehip oil is a pressed seed oil, extracted from the seeds of a rose bush (Rosa moschata) which grows wild in the southern Andes. It is unique among vegetable oils in containing retinol (Vitamin A), and is also high in vitamin C. Rose hip seed oil is high in the essential fatty acids - linoleic acid or omega-6, and linolenic acid or omega-3. It is commonly used in skin care products. It is used for a variety of skin conditions, including dermatitis, acne and eczema, for mature and sun burnt skin as well as brittle nails and wrinkles. Rose hip oil is also frequently used to heal scarring and diminish photo-aging."
How i use it: Instead of using nightcream i put a few drops of the oil into my palms, warm it up with my fingers a little and massage it over my clean face, neck and chest. The skin absorbes the oil qickly leaving a smooth surface! Before i go to sleep i put a towel on my pillow because it stains a tiny bit and i don´t want to mess up my sheets.
In the morning i wash off the residue with warm water padding (not rubbing!) it dry with a clean towel. The result: Nurished, smooth, hydrated Babylike skin! Seriously my skin has never looked better. I feel like it helps my skin to renew itself faster.
Once a week i mix up an overnight mask with rosehip oil which really pampers the skin, if you are interested i can do a post about DIY Organic Facemask with rosehip oil!
You can get rosehip oil in a lot of health food stores (Reformhaus here in Austria), it is a bit pricy but you only need a tiny amound so 30 ml will last you a very long time!
If you like to pamper yourself with natural oils definitely give this one a try, you won´t be dissapointed! Promise!

Rosehip oil sounds amazing! I think I'll give it a try!
